Room Parents

What is a room parent?

A room parent is a volunteer who helps in the child's homeroom class to support the teacher. Room parents help with classroom events and facilitate communication between teacher and the other parents in the class. Room parents work together as a team!

What does a Room Parent do throughout the year?

  • Planning and recruiting volunteers for classroom parties and projects

  • Coordinate holiday, birthday, and end-of-the-year teacher gifts from the class

  • Plan and organize class parties: Halloween, Winter, and Valentine's Day

  • Plan and organize grade level fundraising basket

  • Assist PTO during teacher appreciation week activities
